SMS Terms & Conditions

1. SMS Alert Service

OPTIC, operated by Stratford Research Group ("Company," "we," "us"), offers an optional SMS notification service as part of our political advertising intelligence platform. When enabled, SMS alerts notify you when new political ads match your configured monitoring criteria.

2. Consent & Opt-In

SMS notifications are entirely optional and require your explicit consent. You opt in to SMS alerts by:

1. Logging into your OPTIC dashboard and navigating to Ad Alerts
2. Creating or editing an alert and selecting "SMS" as a notification method
3. Entering your mobile phone number in the designated field
4. Clicking "Create Alert" or "Save" to confirm your selection

By completing these steps, you expressly consent to receive automated SMS alert notifications from OPTIC at the phone number you provide. SMS is not selected by default; you must take affirmative action to enable it. You may remove SMS from any alert at any time by editing the alert in your dashboard.

3. Message Content & Frequency

SMS messages from OPTIC are transactional alert notifications only. A typical message looks like:

Message frequency depends on your alert configuration:

• Daily alerts: Up to 1 message per day per alert
• Weekly alerts: Up to 1 message per week per alert
• Custom alerts: Up to 1 message per selected day per alert

Messages are only sent when new ads match your alert criteria. If there are no matches for a given period, no SMS is sent. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.

4. Opt-Out

You may stop receiving SMS notifications at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from OPTIC
• Editing your alert in the OPTIC dashboard and removing "SMS" from the notification methods
• Deleting or deactivating the alert
• Contacting us at support@stratfordresearchgroup.com

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS from OPTIC. You may opt back in at any time by re-enabling SMS on an alert.

5. Costs & Carrier Charges

OPTIC does not charge a separate fee for SMS notifications; they are included as part of eligible subscription plans (Business, Enterprise). However, standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Contact your carrier for details on your messaging plan.

6. Privacy

Your phone number is stored securely and used solely to deliver the SMS alerts you have configured. We do not sell, share, or disclose your phone number to third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are transmitted to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) exclusively for the purpose of delivering your alert messages. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability & Liability

SMS delivery depends on your mobile carrier and network availability. We make reasonable efforts to deliver messages promptly but do not guarantee delivery timing or success. OPTIC is not liable for messages that are delayed, undelivered, or blocked by carriers. For critical monitoring needs, we recommend enabling email notifications alongside SMS.

9. Changes to These Terms
